Harvey Lee Reeves passed away February 5, 2014, in San Saba, Texas at the age of 88.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba. Funeral Service will be held at Parkview Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 8, 2014, with Curtis Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at China Creek Cemetery in San Saba.

Harvey was born December 9, 1925 in McCulloch County, to William Clyde and Mary Poindexter (Faubion) Reeves.

He moved to San Saba at a young age and lived there most of his life.

Harvey served as JP and city Judge for 18 years. He retired in 1988, to spend more time with his family. He also worked for San Saba Tractor for 27 years, and was a rancher.

He was honorably discharged from active duty after serving in WWII.

Harvey was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. With Harvey's many accomplishments his greatest joy was his family, he was a loving husband, father, and great "papa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harvey left behind to cherish his memory his wife of 69 years, Novalene "Dinky" Reeves, three sons; Johnie Reeves and wife Lynn of Richland Springs, Gary Reeves and wife Gayle of Bowser, Texas, and Mike Reeves of Mills County, one daughter; Brenda Angerstein of Early, Texas, nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Billy Reeves and Clarence Reeves, and 2 sisters Estelle Coleman and Mae Cox, also he is preceded by one son-in-law Frank Angerstein.
