Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Hospitality Church of God in Christ with Elder Benjamin Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow at Reeds Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.
Billy was born on Feb. 28, 1928, in Lamar County to the late Love and Estella Lewis Harmon. He attended Lamar County school and was a member of Hospitality Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Jean Johnson; and a daughter, Ruthie Johnson-Duty.
Survivors include sons, Bill Harmon, Robert Harmon, Roy Gene Harmon, Sammy Lane and wife, Doris and Kenneth Lane; daughters, Ruth Ashley and the late Mike Ashley, Karen Milton and husband, Tracy, Dorothy Pye and husband, Carl Dean, Carolyn Carvin, Kenneth, Sharon Hayes and husband, Kenneth; 33 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
