Carla Mitchell, 50, Mandan, died February 5, 2014 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 10 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mandan. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Carla was born June 11, 1963 in Mandan to Jack and Eileen (Westmeyer) Solberg. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1982 and then worked several jobs in the area. On September 28, 1985 she married Allan Mitchell and they made their home in Mandan. Carla worked as a cashier for 20 years at Cash Wise Foods in Bismarck until her health declined. A talented green thumb, she loved gardening and working with flowers, doing crafts, spending time outdoors enjoying nature, and she loved her pets.
Carla is survived by her husband of 28 years, Allan Mitchell, Mandan; her mother, Eileen Solberg, Mandan; two brothers, Alan (Darla) Solberg, Bismarck and Terry (Tina) Solberg, Watertown, TN; several nieces and nephews; and three aunts and two uncles.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, Jack and her brother, Jeff.
