FAMILY SEARCH 2023. When Eva Bernice Evans was born on 21 June 1894, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah, her father, David Rees Evans, was 28 and her mother, Ida Bernice Matson, was 26. She married John Sanderson Brooks on 2 October 1912, in Provo, Utah, Utah. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. She lived in Provo, Utah, Utah in 1930. She died on 6 April 1986, in Orem, Utah, Utah, at the age of 91, and was buried in Spanish Fork City Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah.

PASSAGE. Eva Evans Thurman, 91, of Provo, died Sunday April 6, 1986 in Orem of causes incident to age.

She was born June 21, 1894 in Spanish Fork to David Reece and Ida Bernice Matson Evans. She married John S. Brooks Oct 2, 1912 in Provo. He died June 12, 1917. She married William Thomas Jolley Nov. 18, 1918 in Salt Lake City. There divorced. She married George Allen Jensen, May 6, 1925 in Castledale. They later divorced. She married Leo Franklin Thurman March 2, 1932 in Evanston, Wyoming. They later divorced.

She received her education in Spanish Fork and Mapleton schools. After she completed her education she married and made her home in Silver City. They later moved to Provo. She then lived in Elberta and also west of Eureka. Later she moved back to Provo. She had worked at Berg Mortuarty, Utah Valley Hospital and later at the American Fork Training School. While she was married to Mr. Thurman she helped operate an apartment building.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints and served in the Relief Society as a teacher and was an active temple worker. She had served as a Voter Reigstration Agent for over 20 years.

Survivors include three sons: John W. Brooks, Portland, Ore, David D. Brooks, Orem, Bill L. Jolley, Provo, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, one borhter and one sister Mrs Movell (Ida) Seeley, Ogden and David R. Evans, Layton. She was preceded in death by a son Leo V Jolley.
