PEARSON, Dan Calvin, 83, of Keysville, Virginia, departed this life Monday, August 27, 2012 after nine months of failing health. He is survived by nephews, Ronnie D. Pearson of Dinwiddie, Raymond C. Pearson Jr. of Midlothian; and niece, Connie P. Davis of Ringold. He was preceded in death by parents, Oliver Ross Pearson and Martha Kathleen Thompson Pearson; and brothers, Oliver Ross Pearson Jr., William "Bill" Pearson, and Raymond C. Pearson. Dan served faithfully and honorably in the United States Navy as a Chief Machinist Mate for 30 years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery, Meherrin, Va. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (today), August 28, 2012. The remains rest at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, Virginia.
