Shelbyville native Robert Edward "Eddie" Flater, 41, Springfield, Mo., died Saturday at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Born on March 3, 1955, in Shelbyville, In., he was the son of Harry Frances and Josephine (Slough) Flater, who survive.
Mr. Flater was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Strafford, Mo.
In addition to his parents, survivors are two sisters, Joanna Armstrong, Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Ralph (Susan) Fancher, Shelbyville, In., and a brother Bus Flater, Franklin, In.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Baptist Temple in Shelbyville with the Revs. Edwin Mohr, Melvin Williams and Fred Shelton officiating
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
