Johnny Lee George was born Jan. 4, 1962 to Barbara Brendel and Randy George in Bakersfield, Calif. He passed away Jan. 21, 2014 after an 18 month battle with cancer. Johnny graduated from Kern Valley High in 1980. He then decided to enter the US Navy. Johnny served his country for three years.

When his service was over he returned to the Kern River Valley to start a family. Later he met his true love Jacqueline Lee George and they built a wonderful life together. Their love was the kind to be envious of, you could see the love they felt for each other in everything they did.

Johnny worked for California Water Service Company for 16 years. He loved the work he did as well as the people he worked with. In his free time Johnny was a member of The American Legion as well as The Legion Riders. A good day for him was to go to work, take his Harley out for a ride with friends and come home to his wife.

Johnny had many personal hobbies that he was quite passionate about. When he saw something he wanted, he went for it 100 percent. His passion's included riding his Harley, Nascar, and rebuilding cars. One of his dreams was to go to the Sturgis motorcycle rally which he was able to do both in 2009 and 2011. More than anything he was dedicated to his family. He attended every game, award ceremony, or grandchild's birth that he could.

Johnny was a man of few words and our big teddy bear. He loved fishing and camping with his father. He continued this tradition with his children and grandchildren. He always treated everyone with respect and kindness, no matter their journey. Johnny had friends where ever he went, and helped whenever he could. Johnny loved to explore and never missed an opportunity for a good swap meet! He was an honest family man who was taken far too early.

Johnny is preceded in death by his step-father Donald Brendel and sister Tammy Kessler. Johnny is survived by his wife Jacki George; parents Barbara Brendel and Randy George; step-brother Jamie Carolus; step-sister Tanya Sims; daughter Jessica George (Curtis); daughter Stephanie George; daughter Tasha Olson (Jerry); daughter Annaliese Beckham (Eugene); son Nicholas Perry (Nanci); son Jason Luttrell (Nicole); niece Samantha Kessler; granddaughters Taylor, Kalayna, Aneicia, Cecilia, and Jossilynn; grandsons Morgan, Johnny, Tristan, Jax, Zander, and Junior; as well as many beloved friends.

We will be having a celebration of life Saturday, February 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It will be held at our local VFW 2811 Nugget Ave. Lake Isabella, Calif. We invite you to stop by to celebrate and remember the life of Johnny George. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Johnny's name to the American Legion Post 711.
