Mrs. Opal Vass Halloran, 45, of Charleston, died Saturday afternoon in a hospital in that city following an extended illness. She was the wife of Dr. R. 0. Halloran, Charleston skin, specialist, and a former resident of this city.

Mrs. Halloran was born at Marie and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Vass, pioneer residents of that section.

She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal church and was an active member in the auxiliary of the Kanawha Medical Society.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sons Richard Kay, Danny and Timmy, all at home, and a sister, Mrs. Robert J. Baber, of Charleston.

Funeral services were Monday afternoon in the chapel of the First Presbyterian church of Charleston, with Dr. George H. Vick officiating. Burial followed in the family plot at Mountain View cemetery.

Mrs. Halloran was a graduate of Hinton High School.
