Nathan Seymour Tomlinson was the youngest of three children born to Laura Elizabeth Beecher and Nathan C. Tomlinson. Nathan Seymour Tomlinson married Georgianna W. Calkins in Branford in 1876. He died of consumption (tuberculosis) at the age of 26 and left behind his wife and young son, Elmer Seymour Tomlinson, aged 2 years.
