Charles H. Parkhurst, 89, of Foxcroft Avenue, a railroad laborer for the Maine Central Railroad for 20 years before retiring in 1969, died Thursday at the Avalon Nursing Home.
He was the husband of the late Abbie (Starkey) Parkhurst.
Born in Worcester, Mass., a son of the late Norris and Myra (Page) Parkhurst, he was a 50-year resident of Maine before moving to Warwick 18 years ago from Virginia.
He is survived by a daughter, a son, two stepsons, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
