Mr. Harry Lee "Jack" Fitzgerald passed from this life on February 5th, 2014. Jack was born in Flora, IL, on July 26th, 1929, to Verlie and Grace (Henderson) Fitzgerald.
After graduating from Flora High School in 1947, Jack joined the Marines, proudly serving his country for three years. He was employed by Halliburton for 32 years until his retirement.
Jack was married to Mary Spalding, and they had one son together, John D. Fitzgerald, who resides in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Jack is preceded in death by his first wife Mary, his parents, two brothers, William " Bill" Fitzgerald, Gerald "Bob" Fitzgerald, one sister, June Fitzgerald, and one step-son, Stephen Krutsinger.
In October of 2011, Jack married Jacqueline Dillman Slover. Together they enjoyed life's many blessings.
Family and friends will always remember Jack's friendly nature and his dedication to his wife Jacquie. He will be missed.
Jack is survived by his Wife, Jacquie, Son, John D. Fitzgerald, Lafayette, LA, Step-son, Doug (Debbie) Slover, Saint Peter, IL, Step-son, J.W. (Joy) Slover, Delaware, OH, Grandson, Stephen Fitzgerald, Broussard, Louisiana, along with several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services for Harry Lee "Jack" Fitzgerald, 84, will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 11:00AM at the Byrd and Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
Interment will be at a later date in Lafayette, Louisiana.
