QUANAH - Lucille Elder, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, in Vernon.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Elder, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be Quanah Memorial Park.
Mrs. Elder was born June 3, 1921, in Hardeman County to William Fred and Augusta Bertha Hines Brachwitz. She married Algy Guy Elder on Dec. 4, 1937, in Childress.
Survivors include a son, John Elder of Quanah; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
