The death of Miss Stella Pearson occurred Monday night at her home two and a half miles west of this place. She had been a sufferer for many weeks with tuberculosis. Miss Pearson graduated from the schools here in 1901. The funeral services were held on Wednesday at half past one o'clock at Charlottesville, conducted by Rev. C. O. Whitely, with burial at Walnut Ridge. C. E. Lewis, funeral director.

SUCCUMBS TO TUBERCULOSIS
Estella Pearson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Pearson living north west of Carthage died Monday night of tuberculosis. Her illness was of three years duration. Her illness was of three years duration. She was confined to her home two months previous to her death. She was twenty-six years of age. Funeral services were conducted from the Friends' Church at Charlottesville Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Charles O. Whitely delivered the funeral discourse. Thomas Cox and Edgar Bundy impressively sang, "He Will Meet Me At the Portals." Interment was made at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Lewis & Son were the undertakers in charge.
