Chester A. Adams died at 3 o'clock Tuesday morning after a long illness contracted in the Philipines. He was born in Troy, N. Y., October 24, 1881, coming to Fullerton in May 1885.
Was bugler of Co. B. 1st N. N. G., for nearly four years and was mustered into the United States service May 10, 1898 and afterward transferred to the 1st Neb. Regimental Band in which organization he remained until the insurgent outbreak in February '99 when he joined his company and was at the front all through that period the 1st Neb was engaged.
He took sick about the middle of May, coming home with his regiment, broken down in health and it was ultimately the cause of his death.
He leaves a father, four sisters and two brothers to mourn his loss.
