Robert P. "Bob" Walters, 73, of Diamond Springs, CA, passed away December 25, 2004 in Placerville, CA. He was born March 25, 1931 in Redding, CA. Bob loved his occupation and was working as of only a few weeks before his passing. He enjoyed mechanics and had a generosity of repairing anything anyone needed. He was kind hearted, a loving spouse, wonderful dad and He was a gentle hearted soul, a devoted uncle, friend and a rescuer of many, many stray animals. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and several siblings. He is survived by his lifelong companion of 32 years, Lois A. Lawson. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at the Diamond Springs Volunteer Firefighter's Hall on Friday, December 31 at 11 a.m. Private interment will take place at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Diamond Springs. Remembrances can be made to the Diamond Springs Fire Department.
