Marion J. Arnold, 77, of Lepore Drive, Lancaster passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Dean and Matilda West McMongel. She was preceded in death by her step father, William McMongel.
Marion was a very strong, independent lady whom often voiced her opinion. She retired from Armstrong World Industries and after retirement work as a Realtor and at Weis Markets. While at Armstrong she was a member of the Rubber Workers Union.
Marion is survived by her two daughters, Gail S. Johns of Conestoga and Barbara Ann wife of Philip Kane of Lancaster. Her grandchildren include Joseph Johns, Michael Young, Brittany Davis, and Mercedes Kane. She is survived by sisters, Catherine V., wife of George Bowman, Carolann, wife of Ivan Yacker, both of Philadelphia and Constance J., wife of Francis Mellon of Southhampton. She leaves behind her four legged son Hootie. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melissa Johns and her grandson, Jason Young.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marion's funeral service on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 2 PM with Mary Burger officiating, from the Melanie B.
