Clifton R. Cummings of Ringwood, N.J., formerly of Talbot County, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at the Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains, N.J. He was 75.
Born Sept. 22, 1931 in Talbot County, he was the son of the late William D. and Clara Richardson Cummings. After graduating from St. Michaels High School he joined the U.S. Air Force. Following his release from active duty, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he worked at various places until moving to New Jersey. He later became a trade administrator for an independent company that surveys hotels and restaurants in the New York area.
