Funeral services for Jerry T. Williams, 82, farmer, who died at his home at Byron Saturday afternoon will be held at the graveside in the Byron cemetery at 4 p.m. {EST} Monday. The Rev. E. M. Clapp and the Rev. J. C. M. Ward will officiate. Pallbearers are to be Joel Bragg, Maurice Williams, James Williams, L. W. Hardison, G. W. Mills and Pierson Mills. Mr. Williams was born in Houston Nov, 17, 1858, the son of Henry Williams and Mrs. Mary Hardison Williams. He had made his home at Byron for 27 years, moving there from Macon. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Sara Emma Slocumb of Crawford county, three daughters, Mrs. C. W. Giles, Byron; Miss Thelma E. Williams, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. M. J. Armstrong, Oklahoma City; two sons, W. B. Williams, Jacksonville; Henry J. Williams, Byron; three sisters, Mrs. C. W. Hardison, Byron; Mrs. Luther Horne, Preston; Mrs. Henry Morgan, Graves Station; two brothers, H. W. Williams, Macon; W. B. Williams, Dunbar.
