Betty was a lifelong area resident of Granby; attended Granby High School and was valedictorian of her graduating class in 1945. She worked at Neosho High School as a secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a former member of ABWA; an avid bridge player and a member of the First Christian Church, where she was a deacon and elder Emeritus.
Married Jack Grigsby in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1964.
Married Charles Allen in 1977 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2003.
Survived by a son, a daughter, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister.
Preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Welch.
