RUTH DOROTHY GRAHAM BREWER, 91 passed away September 15, 2010 at Pioneer Nursing Center, Rocky Ford, CO where she lived the last 3 years. She was born January 8,1919 in Ridgely, WV to Richard E. and Anna Schrader Graham. She married Harper E. Brewer on December 20, 1935. He preceded her in death 2 weeks before their 60th wedding anniversary. She was a lifelong homemaker enjoying her large garden which fed her family throughout the year. She liked to sew and visit her farming neighbors. When her husband died and her health declined she moved from Chicora , PA where she lived 54 years, to Rocky Ford, CO to be with her son and his family. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard E Brewer of Cleveland , OH and Chester E and Mary Lou (Jolene) Brewer of Rocky Ford, CO, 12 grandchildren and spouses, 26 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law, Betty Graham of Lancaster , PA , 4 nieces and their families also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and daughter-in-law, Harper J and Alberta (Bert) Brewer, 2 sisters, Alma Malispinia and Margaret Blose. One brother, Richard E Graham, Jr. She received Christ as her savior in the summer of 1969 and was baptized by immersion later that year becoming a member of First Baptist Church of Butler, PA. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Faith Baptist Church, Fowler, CO. Viewing will be at the church from 9:00-11:00AM on Saturday. There will be viewing from 7:00-9:00 PM, October 1 at Steighner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Oct. 2 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, 111 E. Slippery Rock Street , Chicora , PA. Rev Chester Brewer will officiate all of the services. Interment will follow at the Zion Lutheran Church.
