Funeral Services for Mr. Roger Michael Shelton, age 54, of Manchester will be held Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Randall Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the Ragsdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 2 PM the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Shelton passed away Friday, June 13, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Shelton was born September 12, 1958 in McMinnville, Tennessee. He was the son of Mrs. Ruby J. Shelton and the late William Jesse Shelton. Roger worked at the Manchester Livestock Market for many years. He enjoyed helping his mother and loved spending time with his grandchildren. His family was everything to him. Roger was a loving son and a kind man to everyone. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Shelton is preceded in death by his father, William Jesse Shelton, an infant son, Rodney M. Shelton, and an infant brother, Jeffrey Brent Shelton.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his mother Ruby J. Shelton of Manchester, one son Brian M. Shelton and companion Julie of Manchester, one sister Lisa Foote and husband James of Manchester, one brother Ronnie Shelton of Manchester, four grandchildren, Christopher, Noah, Jade, and Shianna, three nephews, Kevin and Kris Ralston and Jason Shelton. Several aunts, uncles, and dear friends also survive.
