Michael Lynn Mercer, 47, of Williamson Road, Chuckey, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

He was an automotive mechanic and painter. He really liked to work on and paint cars.

Survivors include his daughters: Amber Mercer and Becky Mercer of Chuckey and Samantha Jones of Clarksville, Tennessee; granddaughters: October Jones and Hailie Jones of Clarksville; brothers: Tracy Mercer of Greeneville and Jeff Mercer of Chuckey; aunt: Brenda Fellers of Chuckey; uncle: Dwight Landers of Chuckey; several cousins and nieces, and a nephew; and his father: Jack Mercer of Greeneville.

He was the son of the late Erma Jean Landers Mercer and was preceded in death by a special cousin: Walter "Peanut" Landers; and a special aunt: Bertha Bright.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1pm Friday, February 7, 2014, at Union Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Tim Penley officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 12pm Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Copenhaver, Craig Roman, Dale Hensley, Perry Jones, Danny Landers, Jimmy Hensley, and Kenneth "PeeWee" Church.
