Sand Springs, George Robert McCann, 90, former Santa Fe Railroad employee, died Wednesday. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, Mark Griffith-Riverside Funeral Home, and service 10 a.m. Saturday, Angus Church.

He was preceded in death by son, Donald, granddaughter, Stephanie Campbell, parents, George R. MaCann, Sr. & Maude McCann, brothers and sisters, Ralph McCann, 40023753 Isla Patterson, Georgia White & 94736242 Bobby McCann

He served proudly in the US Army. He served in the Medical Detachment 774th field artillery. He served in the US Army from February, 1943 to December, 1945. He served in Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe and earned 3 bronze stars. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad after 41 years. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and faithfully served. He married Juanita Lee Dye, the love of his life, and was married for 69 almost 70 years.

He was affiliated with Angus Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and was active in their Prison Ministry. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved fishing, sports, coaching, & playing cards with his wife.

Visitation will be held Friday February 7, 2014 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Family visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Angus Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Interment will be held at a later date at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Angus Church.
