Adams, age 74, of Kerrville, who died Saturday, June 13, 1998, in a San Antonio hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at First Baptist Church with Dr. David McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. A family visitation will be held 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, at the Chapel of Overby Funeral Home. Mrs. Adams was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Hico, Texas, to James and Manda Land. She married Billie C. Adams on Nov. 16, 1942, in Hamilton, Texas. She had been a resident of Kerrville for more than 52 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Kerrville where she was very active in Sunday school and other activities. She is survived by her husband, Billie C. Adams of Kerrville; daughter, Carol VanHoozer of Kerrville; two sons, Dwayne and his wife, Ann Adams, and James and wife, Sandra Adams, both of Kerrville; two brothers, Chester and Arthur Land, both of Hico; eight grandchildren, Leslie VanHoozer, Nancy Gawryszewski, Debbie Mann, Tracie VanHoozer, Lori Griffin, Lisa Adams, Brenda Johnson and David Adams; nine great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
