Falba Starnes Waddey, age 90, of Portland, passed away September 2, 2008. She was the eldest of four children of the late Charlie and Beuna Starnes. She is preceded in death by her siblings, L.A. Starnes, Betty Agee and Charlene Williams; husbands, Wilson F. Lamberson and Wilson G. Waddey. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Woody) Steinhart of Portland; grandchildren, Sharina (Shon) Nolin of Manchester, Damon (Melissa) Steinhart of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Nolin, Shea and Ayla Steinhart; brother-in-law, Euless Williams; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church, and memorial contributions may be made to the church at 208 Wheeler St., Portland, TN 37148. Visitation will be 4 p.m., until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008. Funeral service is 10 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2008, at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Alex Jackson officiating. Graveside service is 1 p.m., Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
