Robert C. Hamor, 65, of Bethalto, formerly of Edwardsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1977, in St. Joseph's Hospital at Alton, of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Hamor had been a pipefitter until his retirement in March.
He was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Edwardsville, a son of the late Charles and Susan O'Neil Hamor.
He was married to Evelyn Cragg Sept. 17, 1933 at Edwardsville. His wife survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert Hamor of Backus, Minn., and daughters, Mrs. Margaret Sido of Wood River, Mrs. William (Jane) Larrick of Bethalto, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Claussen and Mrs. Danny (Linda) Holman, both of Wood River.
Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, and sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Clara) Hall of Edwardsville and Mrs. Alma Capehart of Madison.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mr. Hamor was a member of Pipefitters Local 553 of East Alton.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday in the Weber Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. C. Orville Kool officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Claussen, Danny Holman, William Larrick, Gene McDonough, Carl Schlimmer, and Gene Strader.
