The passing of Mrs. S.A. Moore, nee Kate Maxfield, at her home at Little Rock at 11 p.m. Thursday occasioned a deep spirit of sadness when it became known here today. The daughter of Mary Case Maxfield and the late Will E. Maxfield, she was born and reared in Batesville, attended Batesville schools and Arkansas College and later studied music in New York.
A service will be held at the family home in Little Rock after which the remains will be brought to Batesville and taken to the First Baptist Church, where services will be held with Dr. E.P.J. Garrott of Conway, assisted by the Rev. W.V. Womack, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Batesville, officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
