OBITUARY -- DATED OCTOBER 7. 1955 -- LOVE RITES ARE HELD -- Mrs. Mabel Louise Love, 36 years old, of Clay City route two, formerly of Jasonville community, died at 4:10 o'clock last Friday morning. She had been ill for a year and in serious condition for two months. Mrs. Love was born in Clay county, near Jasonville, on January 13, 1919, the daughter of Ira and Maggie Gamble Burris. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church near Clay City and a member of the Clay City Order of Eastern star and the Auxiliary of the Clay City Veteran of Foreign Wars. She is survived by the huasband, Ralph Glen Love; one daughter, Mrs. Joan Walden of Clay City; one son, Ralph Leon Love, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Reed of Jasonville, Mrs. Betty Brough of Clay City, Maxine Shiner and Miss. Evelyn Burris, both of Joliet, Illinois; five brothers; Harry, Harold and James Burris, all of Jasonville, Geroge Burris of Louisville, Kentucky and Ira Buris Jr. of Indianapolis. Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the New Hope Baptist Church with Dr. S. M. Cornell officiating and burial was made in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
