Mr. Ernest Dean Decker a life long resident of Lodi passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at his residence at the age of 66. Mr. Decker was born June 7, 1938 to Robert and Tillie Decker.
Mr Decker worked for Eastside Winery for 14 years before retiring in 1998. Mr. Decker was an avid baseball fan, especially of the San Francisco Giants. He volunteered as an Umpire, a Babe Ruth Little League Baseball Coach as well as the adult Softball League in Lodi. He enjoyed morning walks, gardening and trading baseball memorabilia. He will be best remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his mother, Tillie Decker of Lodi; four sons; three daughters; two brothers, Donald Decker of Lodi and Lawrence Decker of Lodi; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Decker in 2003 and one sister, Loma Stamos.
