Does Isabelle have a CENOTAPH? .
9-1-22 - C.Smith 47569665 informs there is another memorial for Isabelle in Jackson Cemetery, Martin County, IN, where her name is on the headstone of husband Thomas who died 6 years earlier. Her obit, written after the burial took place, says she was buried in Liberty Cemetery, Greene County. Ms. Smith reports her death certificate also says buried in Liberty Cemetery . Perhaps she decided she didn't want to be buried in an area where they would be doing high-energy (nuclear) testing? The Martin County GenWeb names Isabelle in Jackson Cemetery, however that is from headstone readings transcribed by Joe Weber vs. actual cemetery records. Further research is pending contact with the funeral home and with the Church of Christ where her funeral took place to determine if the marker in Jackson Cemetery is a Cenotaph or not.
Ms. Smith reports the Liberty Cemetery Trustee did not find her in their list of burials.
