Convicted in the robbery and murder of convenience store clerk Juan Gabriel Moreno, 23, in San Antonio. Moreno was working the counter at a Stop-N-Go when Flores and an accomplice entered and demanded cash from the register and Moreno’s car keys. Moreno gave the robbers money from the register, $44.00 dollars, but asked them not to take his car. Moreno then kneeled down on the floor where he was shot in the head. Flores retrieved Moreno’s keys but couldn’t get his car started. He and his accomplice fled on foot with the $44.00 dollars.

“Yes sir. Today I go home to the Lord. But first, I have to say something. I am real sorry. I took family member's life and I shouldn't have. I hope that you can move on. I am just sorry.
