David M. Jarvis, 90, of Albany, died January 27, 2014, with his loving wife Julie and family at his side.

Dave was born in New York City, graduated from Great Neck High School and Hofstra College.

He was an eagle scout and scoutmaster for a number of years.

He served as a lieutenant and heavy bomber pilot in World War II, flying B-24s, B-25s, and B-26s, and rejoined the the Air Force during the Korean conflict.

Dave worked in marketing and management positions for IBM during a 42 year career that included numerous sales awards and moves to Buffalo, Schenectady, Glens Falls, and Albany.

He was a mason, and enjoyed flying, golf, vacations at Cape Cod, following the Yankees and NY Giants, and reading, but was happiest just being with his family.

David is survived by his wife, the former Julianne Paquin of Jamestown N.Y. and his six children, David Jarvis, Brad (Jan) Jarvis, Jennifer Jarvis, Mary Jarvis, Bruce (Virginia) Jarvis, and Maggie (Mike) Hurley. David is also survived by his grandchildren, James Blair, David Blair, Matty Blair, Diana (Brendan) Lins, Caroline Jarvis, Taylor Jarvis, Rose Jarvis, Nicole Jarvis, Julia Hurley, and Megan Hurley. He also leaves, his great-granddaughter, Natalie Lins; nephews, Scott and Douglas Jarvis, and brother-in-law James Pacquin and his wife Pat.

Funeral services for David will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville.
