He is survived by his parents, Keith Hughes (Lynn) of Montgomery and Judi Hughes of Gulf Shores; fiancée, Marianne Frucci, her son, Gabe Stratton; her mother, Diann Frucci; brother, Shane Hughes ((Stephanie) and children, Hayleigh and Jacob; sister, Shannon Hughes and daughter, Harper; granny, Mary Mulder; and his golden retriever, buddy.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Southern Memorial. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 3 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to the home of Keith Hughes to celebrate Shawn's life.
