WV death record gives age 79 years, widowed, parents George W and L. ?? I think the birth year on stone may be incorrect. They married October 31, 1814, Alstonfield, Stafford, England.

Elizabeth and George immigrated arriving Baltimore, Sept 1830 aboard same ship with other Marsh's and George's brother Philip Sutton.

Elizabeth appears on the 1870 census, Wheeling, as head of household with Elizabeth Wright aged 33 and 3 Wright children - Laura, Mary and Georgeanna all born Virginia. She is her niece, daughter of her sister Mary MARSH Sutton, wife of Philip Sutton.

The Wheeling Register May 15, 1877, reports her death, "Mrs. Elizabeth Sutton who died at the ripe old age of eighty, last Sunday evening, has been a resident of this place for thirty-six years. Mrs. Sutton was an English lady by birth and having married in that country, came directly to this place, where her husband George Sutton, died twenty-six years ago. On his arrival in Wheeling, he embarked in the coal business, and at one time was one of our most prominent coal dealers. She leaves a daughter and three grandchildren to mourn her loss."
