Margaret (Maggie) Curley Raymond passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Powers) Curley, Margaret was born May 26, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia. She married Joseph J. Raymond Jr., her loving husband of 57 years, on April 19, 1952. He predeceased her March 11, 2010. Maggie was employed as a teacher's aide at the Melvin G. Millet Learning Center for over 20 years until her retirement in May of 1996. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the League of Catholic Women. Maggie enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family.

Devoted mother of Margaret (Maggie) Costantini (Mike), Elizabeth (Betsy) Hurd (Tony), Philip (Tracey), Timothy, Bernadette, Mary K. Willis (Don); preceded in death by her son, Joseph J. Raymond III (Cindy); cherished grandmother of Michael (Mary Crystal) and Thomas Costantini (fiancée Danielle Potts), Joseph IV and Mia Raymond, Tony Hurd (Lindsay), Sarah, Nicholas and Daniel Hurd (fiancée Jess Austin), Philip and Erin Raymond, Connor, Ryan and Clare Willis; proud great-grandmother of Joseph James Costantini; survived by her sisters, Patricia Glass (Ben), Joan Cockey and her brother Philip Curley (Betty Ann); she is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews throughout the United States. Maggie's siblings, Ann Curley, Theresa Kerner, Genevieve Curley, David Curley and Charles Curley predeceased her.

Maggie's family wish to thank Drs. Lioudmila Kinachtchouk and Suhasini Gudipati, the staff of St. Mary's Medical Center and Hoyt Nursing Home, as well as her caregivers for the loving and compassionate care they provided.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish or St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation.
