"Sam Eller, 71, died at Alice, Sunday after a brief illness. Mr. Eller had been a McAllen resident for 25 years. He had been a native of Gause, Texas.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lura Eller of McAllen; daughters, Mrs. Melba Gum of Yorktown, Mrs. Ruby Andrews of Beaumont, Mrs. Myrtle Wise of Beaumont, Mrs. W. O. Brown of Houma, La, Mrs. Jim McFarland of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. John G. Brown and Mrs. M. W. Coleman, both of Alice; a brother, Ed Eller of Haynesville, La; 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Virgil Wilson Mortuary."
