MAPLES, SR., RONALD CARSON - age 75, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday February 2, 2014 at Brakebill Nursing Home. He was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents Carson T. and Helen G. Maples. Survivors include: wife Gale Maples; children: Ronald Jr. and wife Tammy Maples and Cindy and husband Robert Deaver; grandchildren: Daniel Maples, Caitlin Deaver, Joshua Maples, and Katherine Maples; step-granddaughter Ashley Mina; great-grandchildren: Evan Deaver, Cameron and Isaac Stinnett-Maples; step-great-grandchildren: Christopher Payne, Emily Mina, and Jackson Mina; sister Faye and husband Jessie Watson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 5th from 5:00-7:00 PM with the funeral service at 7:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of Brakebill Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care for Ronnie during his stay there.
