Miles W. Allabach, 97, of Dentler Road, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.

He was born April 28, 1916, in Orangeville, the son of the late Olin and Hazel (Flick) Allabach. On Aug. 28, 1949, he married the former Catharine E. Moser, and they celebrated 54 years of marriage together before her passing on Oct. 6, 2003.

Miles was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville.

He enjoyed gardening, word search puzzle books and playing cards, dominos and bingo. He was an avid Phillies fan and loved his cat, Nuisance.

Miles is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Millard L. and Teena Allabach, of Watsontown, and Royce and Pat Allabach, of Montgomery; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rhonda L. and Michael Benfer, Gale A. Gelnett and Roberta Y. and Alan Willow, all of Watsontown; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Miles was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Poust and June Rovenolt Martin, and a granddaughter, Amy Allabach.

Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 39 Paradise St., Turbotville, followed by the funeral at 11 with his pastor, the Rev. Erwin C. Roux, officiating.

Burial will follow in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville.

The family suggests contributions in Miles' memory be made to Zion Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 277, Turbotville, PA 17772, or to Evangelical Hospice, 130 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
