Brother of Vernon and Eugene Wood, Bryce graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. Degree in Forestry. At the time of his death in an automobile accident he was a Forest Ranger with the U.S. Forestry Service. Bryce had served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII. He was married on the 22 of November,1952 at West Plains, Missouri to Patricia Anne Stegall,b. 4 March 1925. Her parents were Paul Lafayette Stegall and Lillian Cates Hanson.
