Funeral services for Jennie Margaret Bowen, 103, of St Louis, formerly of Locust Hills community, will be at three o'clock Monday afternoon (March 09, 1987) in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina. The Rev. Steve Meek of Novelty will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Locust Hill Cemetery west of Novelty.

Mrs. Bowen died at 10:03 Monday morning (March 02, 1987) in the Christian Old Peoples Home, St Louis.

The daughter of Thomas and Mary Alice Jeffries, she was born February 03, 1884, near Locust Hill. On Sept 09, 1907 at Locust Hill she was married to John Henry Bowen who preceded her in death on November 06, 1961. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Alta Hunter and Edythe Swearingen, and two infant brothers, Ray Jeffries and Emory Jeffries.

Surviving are one son, Willard E Bowen of St Louis; one sister, Babe Davis of the Locust Hill Community; one grandson, Gene Bowen and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bowen was reared in Knox County. She had been a resident of St. Louis since her marriage. She was a member of the Locust Hill Community Church.
