Hazel Donaldson Peoples, age 87, of Hueytown, Alabama, went to be with Jesus on February 1, 2014. Hazel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was born on July 23, 1926 to W. Monroe Donaldson, Sr., and Lena Howton Donaldson. Mrs. Peoples was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 54 years, Newton C. Peoples, Jr., and her son-in-law Harold Jones in 2010. She is survived by her two daughters, four grandchildren, six Great grandchildren.
Mrs. Peoples' life was centered around her family and church family. Hazel served the Lord in many capacities throughout the almost 60 years she was a member of North Highlands Baptist Church in Hueytown. Over the years she faithfully ministered to many nursing home patients. The visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at North Highlands Baptist Church, 4851 15th Street Road, Hueytown, AL 35023. The funeral service will be at the Church at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.
