FRANK CLEAVELAND - Funeral services for Frank Cleaveland, who died Friday (29 Jul 1939) were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Prophetstown Methodist Church. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. Rev. A. E. Simester conducted the rites. A quartet composed of Kenneth Hansen, Glenn Graham, Mrs. H. F. Eshleman and Mrs. V. R. Olmstead sang "Face to Face," accompanied on the organ by V. R. Olmstead. The sons of Union Veterans and the Prophetstown Masonic Lodge, of which the deceased was a member, attended the services in a body. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. The graveside services were in charge of the Masons, and the impressive Masonic ritual was delivered by C. R. Wildman. Six Masons, who attended the casket were: K. N. Fenn, Dr. W. F. Tyler, L. K. Groharing, Charles Sibley, Karl Morath and Everett Presnell. Shirley Wilson, Cheryl Robb, Marian Olmstead and Ruth Graham, former members of Mrs. Cleaveland's Sunday school class, assisted with the flowers. They were assisted by Eugene Wilson and Donald Eshleman. Those from a distance who attended the services were: Henry Cleaveland, Rock Island; Mrs. Cora Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wallace, Gordon Wallace, Joliet; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boone, Warren; Dr. and Mrs. Perkins, Geneseo; Bruce Cleaveland, Gary, Ind.; Miss Nadine Cleaveland, Arkansas City, Kans.
