Iva Ruth Anderson, 90 of Hookstown passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Friendship Ridge in Beaver, PA; following a lengthy illness.
Born in Fredericktown, PA., December 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Isabelle Evans Christopher.
Graduating from the former Union High School in Burgettstown, throughout her life Ruth was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Ruth Ann Anderson as well as several brothers, and sisters.
For more than 70 years she raised her family and shared her life with her husband, Earl E. Anderson Sr. whom survives at home. They were married on July 3, 1939.
In addition, two sons, Earl E. Anderson Jr. and wife Donna and Rickey L. Anderson Sr. and wife Patricia, both of Hookstown, survive as well along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pastor Rickey L. Anderson Jr. will celebrate Ruth's life on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery in Hookstown.
