Mr. Kelso was a native of Atlanta, GA. He was born February 5, 1934 to the late Hayward Francis Kelso and the late Lena Pauline Hicks. He had been a resident of McIntosh County for the past 26 years. Mr. Kelso was a graduate of Forest Park High School, and was employed by GM of Lakewood, GA. He was also a member of Morgan's Chapel UMC.
Mr. Kelso enjoyed restoring old cars, fishing and hunting. He leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Mr. Kelso's parents he is preceded in death by his brother Hayward F. Kelso, Jr., and a sister Sylvia McElwanney.
Survivors includes Mr. Kelso's wife of 58 years Beverly Kelso of Townsend, GA; a daughter and son–in-law Wanda Smith (Greg) of Blackcreek, GA; three sons and daughters-in –law Jeff Kelso ( Jeannie) of Jackson, MS; Todd Kelso (Kecia) of Montgomery AL; and Gary Kelso (Liza) of Baton, Rouge LA; seven grandchildren Nick Kelso of Jacksonville, FL; Kayla and Parker Smith of Blackcreek, GA; Reese and Mary Lee Kelso of Montgomery, AL; and Macon and Beau Kelso of Baton Rouge, LA; one niece and two nephews.
