E. Loretta Miller-Roberts age 69, of Moran, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at her home. Loretta was born on August 10, 1944 to Leslie S Perkins and Helen M (Patrick) Perkins in Iola, Kansas.

Loretta and her family moved to the Moran area after the flood of 1951, prior to the flood they had lived in the Geneva/Iola area. She attended grade school in Iola and Moran then graduated from Moran High School in 1962. Loretta was a long time resident of Moran and the Allen County area. Loretta obtained her EMT Certification in 1979 and was employed by the City of Moran for 26 years. She was an EMT I on the Moran Ambulance, Unit 34, until she retired in 2005. She was dedicated to her community and often worked on call seven days a week to help support her family.

After graduation, she married Arnold E. Miller Sr. on June 3, 1962; they later divorced. Born to this marriage were three sons and one daughter.

On July 15th 1999, she married Lee Roberts at the Christian Church in Moran, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Helen Perkins; daughter, Collette Miller, who passed away at birth; brother, Larry; her sister, Roberta, who also passed away at birth.

Loretta is survived by her husband Lee Roberts of the home; Arnold Miller, Jr. and wife Beth of Pomona, Kansas; Bryan Miller and wife Tina of Colony, Kansas; and Craig Miller and wife Paula of Moran. She had five grandchildren, Derrick Miller, Stacy Miller-Clark, Byran Miller, Cheyanne Miller, and Clayton Miller; two great-granddaughters, Zoey and MaciMae; two great-grandsons, Charlie and Lincoln; two step-children and four step-grandchildren, Jerry Roberts and his companion Nancy Wilson; Hettie Diane Wilson and husband Irvin, their children, Sydney and Sadie Houk, Rylee and Randy Wilson, all of Humboldt, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Moran. Burial will follow in the Moran Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Moran.
