Mrs. Betty McNear, 66-year-old Marion County native who lived in Louisville, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at General Hospital there. Stricken ill Friday, she was hospitalized Monday and suffered a paralytic stroke Tuesday.
She was a daughter of the late George and Mary Sapp Battcher. Her husband Charles McNear, died 3 March 1958.
Survivors include two sons Chester McNear and and George McNear, both of Louisville, three grandchildren, two brothers Bill Battcher, New Market, and Albert Battcher, St. Mary.
The body is at Bosley Funeral Home until 2 p.m. today when funeral services will be conducted there by the Rev. A. B. Colvin. Burial will be in the New Market Cemetery.
