Anna Rebecca (Benson) Boeger, 76, of Beeville died Monday, May 3, 2010.

Ms. Boeger was born on July 27, 1933, in Travilah, Md., to James Wade and Temparence Marie McCrossin Benson. She married Raymond E. Harris and worked for the U.S. government as a secretary for many years before moving to Beeville in 1974. She worked locally until her retirement in 2004 and was a Presbyterian.

Ms. Boeger was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors include four children, Angela (Bart) Crawford Vega of Fredericksburg, Randy (Carole) Crawford of San Diego, Calif., Melanie (Darren) Anderson of Roanoke, Ala., and Lori (Michael) Campbell of Beeville; two brothers, James "Buddy" (Sharon) Benson and William "Sonny" Benson, both of Maryland; two sisters, Doris E. (Raymond) Reid and Barbara J. Day, both of Maryland; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel, with Chaplain Robert Styers officiating.
