William H. McCrossin, 74, lifelong resident of Travilah community, died Saturday at his home near here of a heart ailment.

Funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the cemetery adjoining the Presbyterian church at Darnestown.

Mr. McCrossin is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Hunter McCrossing, and 11 children, six by a former marriage. They are: Mrs. James A. Lee, Kansas City, Mrs. Edward Henley, Rockville; Mrs. Temperance Benson, Travilah; Mrs. Richard Hunter, Bannockburn Heights; William G. McCrossin, Wheaton; Elzy V. McCrossin, Glen; Mrs. Paul L. Oldfield and Leonard McCrossin, both of Bethesda; Mrs. Anthony Bartholomew and Mrs. George R. Johnson, Washington, and Mrs. Thomas Lowe, Travilah. He also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Lowry and Mrs. Margaret Pennyfield, both of Seneca, and Mrs. Clara Everhart, Washington; a brother, Charles McCrossin, Travilah; 41 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
