She was a member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church and The Adult Nine Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker, a "good Momma" and had a great love for genealogy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Ross Johnston and her parents, Larry and Cora Walker.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott Johnston and wife Lisa, and Aaron Johnston and wife Victoria; a sister, Patricia Ford; a sister-in-law, Linda Johnston, numerous nieces and nephews and a canine companion of 14 years, Shelby.
