Centerville - Matthew F. Allison, 90, died Dec. 24, 2004, at the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton. He was the husband of Barbara E. (Gangloff) Allison. Mr. Allison was born in Danvers and graduated from Beverly High School in 1930. He was a graduate of the New England Aircraft School in Boston. He was a manager at Forbes Lithograph in Chelsea for 49 years before retiring in 1979. He lived in Centerville for 25 years after living for many years in Beverly. Mr. Allison was active with the Massachusetts branch of the American Association of Retired People, and was the former regional director for the Cape and islands and former assistant state director for the organization. He was a deacon at the Federated Church of Hyannis for many years. He was an avid candlepin bowler. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Susan E. Allison-Tolan of Stoughton; two sons, Earl T. Allison of Danvers and John R. Allison of Needham; two grandsons; two nieces and a nephew.
A graveside service was held at the North Beverly Cemetery in Beverly. A memorial service will be held at the Federated Church of Hyannis at a later date.
